Nestled in the beautiful countryside of Elk Grove just 15 minutes from Downtown Sacramento, Sheldon Inn Restaurant and Bar is housed in a historic building dating over 100 years old. Chefs Doug and Barbara Silva founded "Silva's Sheldon Inn" in 1988 with many fan-favorites such as Stuffed Pork Chop, Portuguese Bean Soup, Fried Calamari, and seasonal Fruit Cobbler (to name a few). Sheldon Inn specializes in classic French, American, and Portuguese cuisines while incorporating new dishes inspired by new owners Jeffrey and Jona Adkins, the expert culinary team, and many who have been with the restaurant since it was owned by the Silva's.
The Adkins Family resides in Wilton with over 35 acres of vineyards, featuring Adkins Family Vineyards fine wine in the Restaurant. The Adkins Family Vineyards Tasting room is on-site behind the 150 year old oak tree in our rustic barn.
The Sheldon Inn dining room offers an unparalleled fine dining experience, perfect for any celebration or night out. With a full bar, well appointed wine list and TV's, the lounge area offers a more casual experience for guests. The quaint patio and fire pit/lounge area is the perfect place to enjoy brunch or dinner, cocktails and great company. Sheldon Inn also has a Wedding Venue featuring an outdoor bar, gazebo, two dance floors, market lights, and outdoor restrooms. With availability for over 300+ guests, the outdoor ceremony and reception site is adorned with a beautiful old Oak Tree, lovely Victorian Bridal Suite, and meticulously manicured grounds for a stunning outdoor wedding!
