Fifteen minutes from downtown Sacramento, the countryside opens up and the lights of the Sheldon Inn come into view.
Chefs Doug and Barbara Silva opened Silva's Sheldon Inn in 1988, and their Stuffed Pork Chop, Portuguese Bean Soup and seasonal cobbler became Elk Grove traditions. Today Jeffrey and Jona Adkins carry the inn forward, alongside a kitchen team that includes many who have been here since the Silvas' era.
